Rock Hard Bill!

So what is this RH Bill all about?

Physically, it’s a very terse document stating the terms of its existence or what is it really all about?

Full text article can be found HERE
(JC Robles has every Philippine Law. Do not forget to cite him; give him credit for his enthusiasm in political law)

It was brought up 2008. For 2 years now, this law has been rotting on desks of congressmen, waiting for it to be passed. Basically its main idea is:

The State upholds and promotes responsible parenthood, informed choice, birth spacing and respect for life in conformity with internationally recognized human rights standards. The State shall uphold the right of the people, particularly women and their organizations, to effective and reasonable participation in the formulation and implementation of the declared policy. This policy is anchored on the rationale that sustainable human development is better assured with a manageable population of healthy, educated and productive citizens. The State likewise guarantees universal access to medically-safe, legal, affordable and quality reproductive health care services, methods, devices, supplies and relevant information thereon even as it prioritizes the needs of women and children, among other underprivileged sectors.”

To make things shorter, the law basically wants primary sex education, methods of family planning, health and population education and development, gender equality and women empowerment, health care for children, overpopulation results (e.g. limited resources), freedom of informed choice, unplanned pregnancy education, reproductive health (e.g. promotion of breastfeeding), active participation from Local Government Units (LGU) and Non-Government Organizations (NGOs), health rights, and not putting into context the law of abortion.

To make things clear for the audience, the law states that people need to start thinking about reproduction more often. The government is there to support the people, and they believe that with this law, our society will be more efficient.

So now, I don’t understand why the church needs to barge into this thing. In the document, there is no single word that pertains or is attacking the church. Well, let me tell you something, for all I know, this is by far the best law that our government has thought of. It can solve dozens of social problems that we have.

The government will not kill anyone. Life is life. Let it be, church. The government can’t kill a ‘child’ if it is not born yet. Just ask this guy.

This guy openly admitted that his wife drinks birth control pills and yet he supports the bitchin’ church. Ano ba talaga pre? Saan ka ba talaga? Balimbing.
