RH Bill: A Neverending Issue

Supporters of the reproductive health (RH) bill gathered for World Population Day on Monday, July 11, 2011, to once again call for the passage of the measure strongly opposed by the influential Catholic Church.

More than a thousand members of various pro-RH bill groups wearing purple assembled at the Ninoy Aquino Stadium in Pasay City to push for the bill’s enactment into law this year, when the world’s population, according to the United Nations, is expected to hit 7 billion. Some used the event to hit to the Church, which is currently embroiled in a controversy involving bishops who received luxury vehicles from the previous Arroyo administration through the Philippine Charity Sweepstakes Office. The bishops have apologized. See it Here

Pepe Bagawan of the group Filipino Freethinkers came dressed as a bishop with an SUV replica made of carton hanging on his shoulders.

“It’s not that we want to attack their personality just so the RH bill would be passed. We’re just calling them out for something that they really did,” he said. “The RH bill is one issue, this is another issue, and in both cases we find that they’re in the wrong.”

Ben de Leon of The Forum for Family Planning and Development said the controversy proves the Church has “skeletons in the closet” even as it preaches against the RH bill on moral grounds.
“If they will advocate morality, they should come out clean,” De Leon said.

This issue probably will never end. It will end when we're experiencing the impact of not passing the bill. Filipinos never learn; act only when it already happened or is currently happening.  What lessons can we get from this?

Filipinos are crazy people. Making dozens of babies then demands money from the government. One tip: don't make babies if you know you can't take of it. Stop being stupid. Find something else to do that fornicate. Developed countries can do it without even thinking of an Reproductive Health Bill, so why can't we? It is an issue of principle and culture. Please.

This is a message to the literate Filipino people who thinks RH Bill is a trash. Well, it wouldn't be thought of if it is foreseen be someone. Limit for sexual urges and use a condom for Christ's sake. I know the premise of going forth  and multiply without numbers. But one more thing to think about, do you want to have children who would suffer the rest of his life? Now, that's the true "killing" of life.

PASS THE RH BILL NOW!
